Mask Making Workshop on Zoom
GPUC will be holding a Zoom Mask Making Workshop next Tuesday the 18th August @ 1 pm. We are inviting people to join us for a Zoom presentation of how to make a mask using this easy pattern https://www.lincraft.com.au/a730-face-mask (please click on the link)
To make the masks you will need the following items:
- Thin elastic- it is difficult to find stock of elastic in the shops at the moment!
- Cotton fabric (with a dense weave that stops some fluid droplets coming through) Cotton quilting fabrics are ideal.
- Metal bread ties – for the nose shaping.
- Matching thread
We will be making up some kits with patterns, instructions, material, and nose pieces for those that need them. We have a limited amount of kits available and they can be picked up from Gordon Church after 1 pm this Friday. Please contact Lesley if you would like a kit.
I look forward to seeing you at the event. It's a great opportunity for us all to get together online and create mask masterpieces. There will be second zoom workshop scheduled, depending on people's availability, so that we can have a chat and sew session.
