WOW. What a successful night celebrating Ukraine culture. We had 70 people in the Hall at Gordon. We were spoilt with Ukraine food, a live band, a pianist, traditional Ukraine craft and dancing plus hearing about life in the Ukraine. It was incredible that our GPUC community raised over $3,000 that will be sent to the Ukraine Crisis Appeal, run by the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations, partnered with Rotary Australia World Community Services. Our Ukraine families felt very much at home with the hall coloured in their national colours blue and yellow. It was also nice to hear that Australia and local communities have been very supportive and generous. We thank all the Ukraine volunteers who made this event possible. No matter what age, we all enjoyed it on Friday and how nice to actually have an event of this size.
